Web Design, Video Editing, Short Form Research, Storytelling
This website, which won a Hearst Innovation Storytelling award in 2021, is the result of a two-year undergraduate research project analyzing the experiences of college-age Muslims in North Carolina and how they negotiate their religious identities amid stigmatization and Islamophobia. It includes insights from 45 formal interviews and numerous informal conversations with students. The project offers a glimpse into how current college students are shaped by policies, anti-Muslim rhetoric, and attacks targeting Muslims.
